BlurTube privacy policy
BlurTube is a browser extension that blurs YouTube thumbnails and hides Shorts. It collects no user data and transmits none.
What stays on the device
The only permission is storage. It stores the three switches (blur
thumbnails, show hover previews, blur search results) in the browser’s local
extension storage. Those values are not sent to a server, an account, or the
author.
A content script runs on youtube.com and
www.youtube.com (embedded /embed/ players are excluded).
It changes the page you are viewing. It does not read that page in order to
transmit it.
Buy Me a Coffee
The popup may show an optional link, “Offrir un café”, to buymeacoffee.com/vincentbouton. It opens in a new tab only if you choose it. Buy Me a Coffee is a separate site with its own privacy policy. BlurTube does not send it your settings or any other data.
